Welo guide: rides and transfers in Croatia

Welo is a ride app for Croatia. No sign-up, no account — enter where you are and where you are going, see the price before you confirm, and a driver comes to you.

How to book a ride

Open the app, type your pickup and destination. Welo works out the route and shows a fixed price before you confirm anything. Once you confirm, the request goes to drivers in your region and the first available one takes it.

After that you see the driver on the map, you can message them, and you can share a tracking link with whoever is waiting for you.

Paying

You pay the driver directly in the car. Welo never takes or holds any money — it only connects you with the driver, and the driver issues the receipt.

Cancelling

Cancel free of charge at any time before a driver accepts. After a driver accepts you have 10 minutes to cancel in the app. After that, call dispatch on +385 95 199 8059.

Where Welo operates

Welo covers all of Croatia — Dubrovnik and southern Dalmatia, Split and central Dalmatia, Zadar and northern Dalmatia, Rijeka and Kvarner, Zagreb and inland Croatia. Prices differ by region because each region has its own rate card.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. Welo works without sign-up — your name and phone number on the first ride are enough.

Do I know the price in advance?

Yes. The price is shown before you confirm and stays the same as long as the route does not change.

Can I book a ride for later?

Yes. Pick a date and time when booking; reservations work for early-morning departures too.

Is there Uber in Croatia?

It exists in the larger cities, but Welo is a Croatian service with local drivers and a price known before the ride, including smaller places the big services do not serve.
